Terms and Conditions
Last updated: March 2026
Welcome to MoveMente. By accessing our website and using our services, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions. We recommend that you read them carefully.
1. Purpose
These Terms and Conditions regulate the access and use of the MoveMente website, as well as the general conditions applicable to the provision of psychology, psychomotor therapy, and mental health services by our clinical team.
2. Services Provided
MoveMente is dedicated to providing specialized services in the areas of mental health and well-being. These services are carried out by properly qualified and credentialed independent professionals (Portuguese Psychologists Order, Portuguese Psychomotor Association, and Health Regulatory Entity). Each professional is ethically and legally responsible for the services they provide, including professional monitoring and intervention models, clinical data protection, compliance with the rules applicable to their activity, and billing. Services may occur in the following modalities:
- In-person: In partner offices (Sintra, Carcavelos, Lisbon, and Almada);
- Online: Through secure digital platforms;
- Home visits: At the client's own residence in specific geographical areas (Almada and Seixal with no additional cost, other municipalities, value upon request).
3. Bookings and Scheduling
Appointment requests can be made through the form on the website, e-mail, telephone, or official social networks. The scheduling request does not automatically guarantee the vacancy.
The appointment will only be considered valid and definitive after express confirmation by the MoveMente team (via e-mail or telephone contact) and after compliance with the agreed payment conditions which consists of paying 30% of the session fee as a deposit. The remaining amount is paid after the session, via bank transfer, MBway, or cash (the latter exclusively for in-person sessions). An invoice is issued for the full amount. In the case of purchasing a package, payment is made in full at the time of purchase, and the package is valid for 2 months from that date.
4. Cancellation and Refund Policy
The independent professionals acting under the common brand MoveMente provide health services. In this context and under the terms of Decree-Law No. 24/2014, the right of free resolution does not apply to services already provided or initiated with the client's consent, therefore, it is not possible to refund the amount paid after the consultation has taken place. To ensure the proper functioning of the schedule and respect for professionals and other clients, the following rules apply:
- Cancellations or rescheduling must be communicated at least 24 hours in advance.
- In the event of cancellations with less than 24 hours notice or non-attendance ("unjustified absence"), MoveMente reserves the right to charge the full amount of the scheduled session, given that the schedule was reserved for the client.
- Upon booking and scheduling the appointment, the client declares to be aware of and accept these conditions.
5. Billing and VAT
Each independent professional is responsible for billing their services directly to the client. Under Article 9 of the VAT Code, consultations constitute healthcare provisions exempt from VAT.
